This mixed media art series expresses the simplicity of female beauty. Often women feel they require makeup, coloured contacts, jewels, etc. in order to feel beautiful. What truly makes a woman beautiful is not purchased products, but unique facial features (and we are all unique) and a colourful and kind spirit. Utilizing simple techniques with pencil and pen I emphasized each woman's facial features and portrayed their vivid spirits with elegant washes of watercolour. I hope that all women will see this series and feel a sense of beauty within themselves regardless of what they are wearing.
