I am beyond thrilled and grateful to have had the opportunity to exhibit my portraiture in London, England from April 14th to 18th 2015! Not only is the international achievement wonderful but the Menier Gallery in which the show took place is absolutely stunning in its historical state. Not to mention it's around the corner from the Tate Modern and the famous Shard! And if all of that wasn't enough, the caliber of artwork I had the honour of hanging alongside with was absolutely amazing! I am so thankful to all the incredibly kind artists who attended the Private Viewing and took pictures of my work with me in mind. Without the proper funds or time I wasn't able to make it to London for the show. Yet even though I wasn't there I felt I made some new friends. The whole experience is one I will not forget! Check out more photos of the exhibit in this blog and be sure to look out for the Private Viewing blog being posted very soon!

On Saturday May 2nd 2015, I had the pleasure of spending the night with Alexandria Karakis (Artist behind Fotoflares and creator of the ETA Awards) and artist Al Barazi at Art Katalyst Magazine's 1 Year Anniversary Party which took place at May. It's a terrifying and challenging endeavor setting out to publish an art magazine but they worked through an entire year of dedication and put out some truly powerful issues. It was an honour to have a small part in the evening; the opportunity to show my piece "True Beauty" 'Jenny Blackbird'. But it was also lovely just to watch the true joy of these ladies reveling in their amazing accomplishment. Big congrats to everyone involved with Art Katalyst! Here's to many more years!

On Sunday Darren and I went on an adventure to find a copy of the newest issue of HOLR Magazine. This one was a special one because I (my actual self) would be featured in the national magazine painting my new artwork "True Beauty" 'Delena Providence'. Thinking of past experiences, where it took many days for the magazine to actually hit the shelves after being released, I wasn't overly stressed about getting a copy. BUT I should have been! We tried the famous Eaton's Center first and they had one rather beat-up copy left! I snagged it fast (pictured above)! I asked the clerk if they had any others and she happily informed me they had all been sold. She even called the other locations to see if they had any left (I wasn't a fan of having a beat-up copy) but they had all sold out as well! Absolutely crazy! While I would have liked a crisper copy, I am beyond excited that all those copies were sold and thus all those people will see me and my artwork! Just awesome! Seeing myself in a national magazine was just completely overwhelming. I'm not the typical lady you'd see in a fashion magazine; being a chubby comfy kind of gal; so I give HOLR major props on diversifying what they promote as beauty and talent. In fact, they asked me to pose and dress "exactly as I am" without feeling the need to adhere to any social standard of what a woman in a magazine should look like. I LOVE that! If you get a chance please check your local Chapters or Indigo for a copy and be sure to take a picture with it/my page! You would put one big smile on my face if you did! :D

Being published in this International Magazine is very exciting for me. This particular issue has been in the works for almost a year and I could not be more honoured (and surprised) to have 36 pages dedicated to me and my work. Inside you'll find an article written by yours truly as well as many large scale images of my artwork. The best part? You can download your copy absolutely FREE! Once you click the link you'll be brought to a page where you'll have to complete a captcha (this proves you're a human and not a bot). First click, "I'm not a robot". Then wait for the Captcha to load. Complete your captcha by typing in what you see. Once you get the check mark of approval you can click "Authorize Download". I hope you enjoy it! :D

Nature, Growth and Activism
4 Page Spread
I am absolutely honoured to have my series "True Beauty" included in Art Katalyst Magazine's newest issue 'Nature, Growth, and Activism'. By chance the Editor-In-Chief of the magazine, Danielle St Laurent, became one of my muses for my "True Beauty" series. While the mixed media artworks were in progress Danielle approached me and asked if I'd be interested in having my work in her amazing magazine. I was ecstatic! I'd been a fan of the magazine for some time and it was really a dream of mine to be included. After receiving my copy I am even more thrilled because, not only did they include a beautiful two page article written by yours truly, they also included a two page review by Patrick Lemieux, and my image in the Table of Contents! So awesome! Get your own print copy for $15.99 or digital copy for $4.99 HERE. Thank you so much to the team at Art Katalyst! You guys are amazing. :D

This past Saturday April 4th 2015 was the Closing Night Event of the "My Wildest Dreams" Art Show which took place at Duke's Refresher + Bar in Toronto! I had two of my "True Beauty" Artworks in the exhibition; the first 'Nici Shipway' and the other 'Tia Brazda'. The evening was made more special with the company of my fiance Darren, my muse Nici, her husband Aaron, and their awesome friends Morgan, Ian, Ashley, and Anthony! Together we enjoyed some grub, drinks, and FREE cotton candy! Kudos to Del Mahabadi who organized the event and asked if I'd participate. She did a fabulous job! The night was a blast! :)

I am SUPER excited to say I will be exhibiting my artwork at the beautiful Menier Gallery which is situated within the historic Menier Chocolate Factory only minutes away from the London Bridge, Borough Market, and the famous Tate Modern! Since I don't have the funds to travel to London in person I opted to ship my artwork there via Canada Post Express. It's always stressful shipping artwork but I am glad to say the pieces arrived safely and in perfect condition! A big thank you to Leila Bibizadeh (owner of Exhibit Here) for taking pictures of my work to reassure me (see below).
I cannot believe my "True Beauty" artwork 'Dana McCool' and my "Self Portrait" will be internationally exhibited from April 14th to the 18th! If any of you lovely people in London can make it to the show to take some photos for me I would be SO very grateful! Exhibit Here always takes beautiful pictures of their exhibits but it would be so nice to have a few extra from friends and fans. Be sure to include yourself in them! If you're planning on making an appearance please let me know at Info@MalindaPrudhomme.com!

I am very excited to announce that the next issue of Art Katalyst Magazine will have an awesome feature on my newest series and exhibit "True Beauty"! A guest from the Opening Reception, Patrick Lemieux, has submitted his review of the show which will be very cool for people to read! I've also submitted my own thoughts about the series and event as well as many images of my work and the exhibit for the Art Katalyst team to consider. I am so excited to see the "Nature, Growth, and Activism” issue which is set to be released on April 1st 2015! Be sure to get your copy! :D

I'm so very fortunate to have met Neil Shelton, the Publisher of HOLR Magazine, at an outdoor Art Show! He has been so supportive and truly believes in my ability to succeed and thrive as an artist. He trusts so much in my career that he has given me the opportunity to show my work in his national magazine. In the first issue I was gifted with a centerfold featuring my "Curvy Beauties" series and a full page in the front of the magazine featuring my piece "One And The Same". In the next issue I was given the opportunity to show my HUGE Indian Bride painting "Preeti Ruby Indian Bride" on a full page. BUT THIS ISSUE is very exciting because he requested I ACTUALLY BE IN the feature along with my artwork! When we met to discuss it I was decked out in my usual PJ's, braid, and glasses; and he said he wanted me to look just as I did. Too cute! I definitely brought up my appearance a notch but still stayed true to my comfy down-to-earth look. I cannot believe my silly self will be in a NATIONAL FASHION MAGAZINE! I'm so blown away! This is definitely a fun issue worth checking your local Chapters or Indigo for! Stay tuned to any of these links to find out when it is released!
